Set up
Set up the client portal
Invite clients to a secure, branded portal on your own domain, choose what each client sees, and design the sign-in page in Cliezoo.
The client portal runs on your own WordPress site. Clients sign in at the same address as your workspace and see only what you share with them.
Invite a client
- Open the client, then the contact you want to invite.
- In the Portal access panel, choose a role: Client admin, Client member or Client viewer.
- Click Invite to the portal. The contact gets a link that signs them in, with no password needed.
To tell the client yourself instead of sending an email, choose Create the account. The panel shows each contact’s status: Not invited, Invited, Invitation ran out or Signed up.
Choose what each client sees
Open the client and go to the Portal tab:
- What they see: switch whole sections on or off for this client. A section that is off is not loaded at all.
- What they can change: decide where the client can edit.
- Notice and welcome message: greet the client and post updates.
- Layout: cards or a list.
Use Edit view and Client view to switch between editing and seeing the portal as the client does.
See it exactly as the client does
On a contact, click See it as followed by their first name. The portal opens as that person in a new tab, with a banner to end the session. Every session is recorded in the audit log.
Sign-in options and security
Clients can sign in with:
- a password, with Keep me signed in
- a passkey
- Email me a sign-in link
In Settings → Security you can require two-step verification by role (authenticator app or passkey), turn sign-in links on or off, set how long sessions last and send new-device emails.
Brand the portal
Go to Settings → Branding:
- Logo, dark-mode logo, favicon and tagline
- Accent colour, corners and typeface
- Navigation, sidebar and dark-theme colours
- The sign-in page designer: heading, text, form position, side image, background and button colours, with a live preview
Client-facing pages and emails carry your brand, never Cliezoo’s.
