Getting started with Cliezoo

Install Cliezoo on WordPress, run the one-minute setup wizard and open your workspace. Requirements, first steps and sample data explained.

Cliezoo is a WordPress plugin. Everything runs on your own site: your workspace, your client portal and your data.

Requirements

  • WordPress 7.0 or newer
  • PHP 8.1 or newer
  • Pretty permalinks are recommended for tidy addresses. Cliezoo still works without them.

Install the plugin

  1. Get the Cliezoo zip file from the Degird team. In WordPress, go to Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin, upload it and click Activate.
  2. Open Cliezoo in the wp-admin menu and click Open Cliezoo.

The free plugin has no limits on clients, portals, projects or team members, and no trial period.

Run the setup wizard

The wizard opens the first time you visit the app and takes about a minute. It asks:

  1. About your business: workspace name, what you do (one of 20 industry presets, which set up sensible categories, folders and a sales pipeline), team size and where you are based.
  2. Can this site send email? Cliezoo sends a test email. If it doesn’t arrive, install an SMTP plugin; Cliezoo sends all mail through WordPress.
  3. How will clients pay you? Pick the payment methods you plan to use. You can connect them later.
  4. Your workspace address. The app lives at /dash on your site. If that address is taken, choose another such as /app or /workspace.
  5. Finish with Add examples and finish to explore with sample data, or Start empty.

Explore with sample data

Sample data adds a few fictional clients, contacts and projects so you can try every screen. Remove it at any time: only records the sample data created are deleted.

What to do next

Cliezoo shows an onboarding checklist on Home:

  • Name your workspace
  • Set your time zone and currency
  • Add your logo
  • Invite someone
  • Check that email and background jobs work
